The Medical Center Foundation was created as a public charity in May 2006 to help raise funds and healthcare need awareness for Southeast Alabama Medical Center while advancing the humanitarian mission of the regions’ 420-bed medical facility and its affiliates.
Governed by a 20-member Board of Trustees, who serve without compensation, the Foundation invites partnerships among individuals, groups and businesses interested in ensuring quality medical care is always available to the communities served by Southeast Alabama Medical Center. The doors to the Foundation officially opened in March 2007 as part of the hospital’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The Foundation funds both present and future equipment, technology, facility expansion and program needs to meet the health and wellness demands of the growing regional community. We invite you to learn more about Southeast Alabama Medical Center and its services by visiting www.samc.org
